About us

What is a Family Centre?

Family Centres are a community resource for parents/carers, children, and families. We support you on your parenting journey from pregnancy through to school readiness and all the milestones in between. We are a hub of safe environments for families to socialise and play in an educational setting. Providing opportunities for babies and children to develop their vital skills and supporting parents along the way. Professionals that you would find in a centre include health services, family support and early years practitioners. Southend has nine Family Centres and Outreach Services.

Southend Family Centres are open to families in Southend on Sea and local surrounding areas. Anyone with a child in their care from conception to five years can attend the family centres services.
