Housing - sheltered - older people: Outline
Sheltered Accommodation is a self-contained, unfurnished property designed to meet the needs of people of pensionable age. In some circumstances people who are below that age but have certain disabilities may be eligible for sheltered housing.
The Council are not the only providers of Sheltered Housing, several housing associations within the borough have sheltered accommodation available for rent. A number of developers also provide sheltered accommodation to buy or rent.
