Drainage - help and advice: Outline
Southend Council has NO responsibility for the cleansing or maintenance of any sewers or drains except as landlord or landowner of:
- Council Buildings
- Council Houses
- Surface Water Drains to Roads (contact Highways Maintenance)
Responsibility for cleansing and repair of all other sewers or drains within the Borough, including manholes and gullys, rests with either the owner(s) of the property or properties which they serve, or Anglian Water.
