Equality and Diversity: Outline
Whether we are Councillors, employees, or citizens, we all have a role to play in equality and diversity. The Council embraces equality and diversity because:
- We want people to be able to get the services they need
- We have a responsibility to spread good practice in partners, our major contractors and service providers
- We need to recruit, manage and develop our employees fairly
- We must keep within the law
You will see what we are doing in our Comprehensive Equality Policy. This is translated into the main other languages spoken in the borough. Other formats and translations are available.
