Safety - health and safety at work - advice and training: Outline
Health and Safety advice and enforcement in Southend is split between the Council and the Health and Safety Executive.
Employers are required to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for staff and ensure that persons not in their employment i.e. members of the public, visitors, contractors etc. are also safeguarded against health and safety risks.
There is a vast range of information and advice available about health and safety, much of it free of charge.
