Health - infectious diseases - investigation: Outline
Cases and suspected cases of food poisoning and food borne disease are reported to the Council by general practitioners, hospital microbiology laboratories, patients and caterers. The Food Control Team follows up all reports to identify the cause so far as possible and to ensure controls are put in place to remove the risk of further spread.
