Licences - Liquor: Outline
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has taken over the responsibility (from the Licensing Justices) of licensing premises and people who are selling alcohol, as well as new areas of licensing outlined in the Licensing Act 2003.
This includes:
- Pubs and Nightclubs
- Indoor Sporting Events
- Off Licences
- Restaurants which serve alcohol
- Hot Food Takeaway prmises which operate after 11pm
- Hotels, Guest Houses and other places which sell alcohol
- Private Members Clubs
- Theatres and Amateur Dramatics productions
- Various occasional events in Church Halls, Community Centres, etc
