The Southend Register Office which is located on the ground floor of the Civic Centre and accessed via the side entrance from Carnarvon Road, offers the following services: 

• The registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
• The provision of Registrars to carry out civil marriage ceremonies at the Register Office and at premises which have been approved for weddings.
• The provision of copy certificates.
• Naming Ceremonies
• Renewal of Vows
• Commitment Ceremonies
• Civil Partnership Ceremonies
• Citizenship Ceremonies
• Floral Service
• Stationery Service
• Commemorative Certificates

The main Register Office is open
Monday - Wednesday	8.45am - 5pm
Thursday	8.45am - 7pm
Friday	8.45am - 5pm
Saturday	9am - 5pm
Weddings can take place in the Approved Premises at the Register Office and other Approved Premises outside of the Register Office within the following times:
Monday - Sunday	8am - 6pm

Please note: Births are generally registered in the mornings, while deaths are registered in the afternoon. Notices of Marriage and Civil Partnership are also taken throughout the day, all are by appointment however we do try to accommodate customers where we have the resources to do so.
