Town twinning: Outline
Sopot, Poland has been Southend-on-sea's twin town since October 1999.
Situated in the north of the country, on the Baltic coast, Sopot has wonderful hotels, beaches, pubs and restaurants, as well as a wooden pier, and is an attractive spot for summer holidays. It is one of the smallest but also one of the most beautiful of Polish towns.
