Dead animals

Dead domestic animals

We work with local vets to ensure that any dead domestic animal found on the public highway is dealt with compassionately and carefully. Once transported to one or our partner vets the animal is scanned for microchip details and stored until collection by its owner. Where owner details are available they will be contacted, or where they are unavailable details are logged ready for when an enquiry is received.

Dead non-domestic animals

Dead animals on the public highway can be reported using the using the fly tipping or street cleansing online form on MySouthend and they will be collected. Dead non-domestic animals in a resident’s garden will also be collected by prior arrangement, so please also report it to us using the online form so that this can be arranged. If the animal can be bagged up prior to arrival that would greatly assist us.

Alternatively, why not register for MySouthend where you can manage and keep track of your reports online and have control to get the information you need, without having to call or visit us. When you register with MySouthend you will receive updates on the progress of your report. Register, or sign in to your MySouthend account.
