Council services

A Carer is someone who looks after a relative or friend, who, because of disability, serious illness or the effects of old age, cannot manage at home without help. Did you know there are approximately 16,000 carers in Southend!

Services are available for people, including young carers, who spend a lot of time looking after someone. Services include breaks, support groups and night sitting.
