Roads - safety - cycling proficiency: Outline
Cycle Training
For Children
Bikeability is the new National Standards scheme for the 21st Century - replacing the Cycle Proficiency Scheme, giving you the skills and confidence to cycle in modern road conditions.
All Key Stage 2 children in Southend Primary and Junior schools have the opportunity to complete their Bikeability training through their school.
For Adults
We can provide FREE training to adults living, working or studying in Southend.
Bikeability is the new National Standards scheme for the 21st Century - replacing the Cycle Proficiency Scheme, giving you the skills and confidence to cycle in modern road conditions.
We provide an instructor to complete the training with you. Each session is individually tailored to your needs. Whether you want to learn to ride, want to ride to work, to the local library or for a leisure ride along the seafront the instructor will ensure you can ride your routes safely.
If you're thinking about getting on your bike, why not complete your Bikeability? It's fun. There are three Bikeability levels to help you become a better, safer cyclist. As you go through the levels you can safely go to more places on your bike.
