ParkLives Southend is back for 2019!

Southend children, young people and families can look forward to a summer of free weekly outdoor activities again, for the fourth year running, as part of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s popular ParkLives Southend programme.

Led by the Council’s Sport and Leisure Team, experienced instructors from community sport and physical activity organisations will deliver free activities over the summer in Chalkwell Park.

Please ensure when attending a session that you bring a bottle of water and where needed, you wear sunscreen and suitable clothing to stay as cool as possible.

Boxing and Kickboxing Fitness Sessions

Suitable for males and females aged 5 to 14. No experience necessary, all abilities welcome.

Mon 29th July 11:15am until 12:15pm Meet on the cricket field by Chalkwell Park Rooms Cafe.  

Children, Young People and Family Tennis Sessions

Suitable for adults, and children and young people, aged 7 to 14. No experience necessary, all abilities welcome.

Tues 30th July 10am until 11am Meet on the Tennis Courts

Street Basketball

Suitable for males and females aged 8+. No experience necessary, all abilities welcome.

Wed 31st July 1pm until 3pm Meet on the Basketball Courts near the Skate Park

Dodgeball and Rounders

Suitable for males and females of all abilities. Families welcome. Recommended for children aged 5 and above.

Thurs 1st August 10am until 12 noon Meet on the cricket field by Chalkwell Park Rooms Cafe

Team Rubicon Scooter Sessions

Session 1:

Under 10's, novices and beginners

Session 2:

Open trick and coaching session for those with more experience, age 10+
