Constable toop - book cover

Gareth P Jones

Friday 31st October 11-12.30pm and 2-3.30pm

A Victorian funeral parlour might seem like an unlikely setting for a children's book, but in fact it makes the perfect background for this spooky supernatural tale from Blue Peter Award winning author Gareth P Jones.

Ghosts, Ukuleles & a Dead Chicken

Gareth P Jones presents a short story in which you decide what happens next. Helly Hoxton & the Ghost Chicken of Highgate is based on the book, Constable & Toop and poses the questions: Should the orphan enter the cemetery? What will the chisel write on the gravestone? And how can a chicken be a ghost? A spooky, funny & unique event with actual ghost music performed live… or maybe that should be dead.

Become a spooky character and have your face painted too.
