The event will be held in Jubilee Room, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6ER, and is Free to attend.
Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, is holding a public meeting in Southend after Christmas.
Residents with an interest in policing matters are welcome to come along. As Mr Hirst is the first Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner in the country, people can also ask questions about Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
Details of current crime trends and ongoing operations will be discussed at the meeting by a panel of community safety leaders which will include Mr Hirst, Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Gardner, Chief Inspector Scott Cannon plus Group Manager Matt Hughes from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and a representative from the local Community Safety Partnership.
Roger Hirst said: “I welcome the opportunity to meet with local residents and I urge everyone who wants to have their say on community safety issues in the area to come along.”
