Tall Ship Sailings & Open Ship 'Artemis'

The magnificent tall ship Artemis will be in Southend providing opportunities to go sailing as well as the chance to go onboard and have a look around during 'open ship'.

Artemis is an impressive three-masted sailing barque which was originally used as a whaler. It is one of the most luxurious and elegant sailing vessels in Europe today and reflects the interior style of the most lavish ocean liners.

You could either help to 'pull the ropes' or simply relax as the world sails by. Artemis is a popular ship so book your place now so as not to miss this exciting opportunity!

Southend Borough Council Libraries aims to meet the needs of the local Polish and Roma communities.

Jadzia Haughton, a Polish speaker is employed from 10.00am -2.00pm every Friday at the Central Library, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, to provide this free drop-in service.

Her role is to help anyone with Housing, Transport, NHS enquiries, or School Admission forms, debt information and any type of documentation query. For details, call Jadzia on 01702 431003.
