Q: EHE - Personal tutors check lists

Answer:
  1. CRB checked and up to date.
  2. References (check these are bona fide and not 'friends' references, they need to be from professionals).
  3. Scrutinise the tutor's CV, check dates of accreditation and places of study.
  4. Check that Universities or schools do exist.  The Ofsted Website will help on this.

Do not be afraid to ask questions, your child's safety is paramount.  Ideally a tutor visits your home. Do not leave your child at a tutor's house.
