Answer:

Make an application to the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and the Environment at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex SS2 6ER or telephone (01702 215004). Upon receipt of a completed Application (refer to attached) with a cheque attached in the sum of £50.00 to cover the cost of preparing a site survey and quotation, a quotation will be prepared and sent to the customer. If the quotation is subsequently accepted by the customer, the cost shown on the quotation will be reduced by £50.00 when the payment for the crossing is made. A separate application must be submitted together with the survey fee for any additional quotation which is requested by the customer. Applications and corresponding survey fees are valid only until the end of the current contract period. Should a Quotation expire a new Application and survey fee will be required. The expiry date will be clearly shown on the Quotation.
