Answer:

The utilities (Gas, Water,etc) will be contacted by the Council outlining to them the proposed alterations to the public highway. The site will then be checked to ensure compliance with the Council's requirements (see below) and either (A) the construction of your vehicle crossover can be processed in this case the Council will mark the site (with orange paint) on the footway outside your property and advise you in writing to that effect (normally by leaving a card at your address) or (B) the construction of your vehicle crossing cannot be progressed as you are required to carry out further action. This will be detailed to you (normally by leaving a card at your address). * Should you have any queries as to the siting or what is required of you, you should contact the Council by telephoning 01702 215657 as soon as possible.
