Home safety advice FAQs
Q: Will I have to pay for this service?
Q: What happens if an alarm is triggered?
In the event of an emergency alarm, or if you trigger your own pendant, operators will respond from our 24-hour monitoring centre. They will have details of your needs, your doctor's address, and contact details for any relatives, friends or neighbours nominated by you. The operator will also know which sensor has triggered the alert; such as a pendant, fall detector, smoke detector of flood detector.
The operators will try to speak to you to find out what the problem is, and will quickly summon appropriate help - whether or not they do manage to speak with you. This could mean contacting the emergency services, sending out our mobile response service, or getting a relative, friend or neighbour to visit.
