Council Housing Rents
Tenants of South Essex Homes are expected to pay their rent in full and on time. Any arrears will affect the level of services provided to you.
The rent is due each week in advance on a Monday, but also may be paid fortnightly or per calendar month in advance, provided that an arrangement has been made with your Estate Officer at the local Area Housing Office.
If you are finding it difficult to pay your rent it is important that you contact your Estate Officer immediately to discuss any options. We will check to see if you are entitled to any welfare benefits, we can also consider repayment agreements.
Tenants who fail to arrange to pay their rent are at risk of losing their home.
Moving out of your Home
