Advice and Information for Landlords
Welcome to the Landlord Information section. Here you should be able to find all the information you need to ably assist yourself and your tenant whilst they reside in your property.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council believes that landlords are important stakeholders in the service that it provides.
A good working relationship between the Local Authority and landlords contributes towards the overall efficiency and effectiveness and benefits everyone involved.
The Council is setting up its own local Landlord Accreditation Scheme. This will include the requirement for and availability of suitable training.
For any further information in this respect, call the Private Sector Housing Support Officer on 01702 215002 and ask to speak to the Landlords Accreditation Officer.
The Advice and Information for Landlords is split into two sections. These being General Advice and Information and Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit Information. Further Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit information advice can be found in our leaflet titled 'Information and Advice for Landlords'. You can get this leaflet from the Customer Service Centre. Alternatively you can download a national leaflet from Benefit-Leaflets.org.
Additional information and advice can be found by visiting the websites found in the useful website section.
If you feel that we have missed something please do not hesitate to contact us via the Related Services section. We will endeavour to include it as and where appropriate.
