Bikeability Training for Children
Bikeability is the new National Standards scheme for the 21st Century - replacing the Cycle Proficiency Scheme, giving you the skills and confidence to cycle in modern road conditions.
All Key Stage 2 children in Southend Primary and Junior schools have the opportunity to complete their Bikeability training through their school.
All of the bikeability courses are free. In order to book you must contact your School.

Level 2 - is where you start with real traffic, but sticking to quiet roads. By completing Level 2 you can show you have the skills to make a trip safely on quiet roads and cycle lanes, perhaps to work or for leisure. |

Level 3 - is where you can move up to busy roads and advanced road features. It's like driving or motorbike lessons and once you have done it you should be able to bike most places safely, certainly after some practice. |
