Library Service Offers Free Requests

As part of our dedication to customer satisfaction, any item from another library with Southend, Essex or Thurrock Libraries can be requested free of charge!

There was previously a fee, but this has been removed - so now you can enjoy DVDs, CDs or books without having to pay the request fee.

Libraries are for everyone: whatever your age, background or needs, with nearly one hundred libraries, that means there's a wealth of material to enjoy from your library service - and we want you to enjoy it.

All the items can be ordered via the Internet 24/7 through, where you can search the whole catalogue, that's over 3 million items to choose from.

From your modern library service you can borrow up to 14 items at a time, apart from all the books chose from:

• Videos
• DVDs
• CDs
• Spoken Word CDs

If you prefer to come and visit us we'd also welcome requests, just by popping into your local branch.
