The Wordsmiths Children's Reading Group (10-11 years)

The Wordsmiths Children's Reading Group at Thorpedene Library

This reading group meets for an hour after school on the second Tuesday of the month at Thorpedene Branch Library.

The group is for Year 6 children aged 10/11 who come from schools in the surrounding area. The group provides an opportunity for local children to share the enjoyment of their reading experiences with others in a relaxed and friendly environment. The sessions are fun and include playing games and using websites.

This group was started at Thorpdene Branch Library in October 2009 by Greg Simmonds, Audience Development Librarian and Shirley Edgcome-Purkis and a library volunteer.

Wordsmiths Children's Reading Group is not yet at full capacity and we would welcome new members.
