Want to start up your own Reading Group?
Are you interested in reading?
Are you interested in reading, discussing and dissecting a book with a group of friends or work colleagues? If so, then why not set up your own reading group? The choice of reading material can range from non fiction, crime, historical through to 'chick lit', whatever takes your fancy really.
Southend libraries manage a large number of reading groups and we can help you to start up your own one. You can meet in your own home or, if you prefer, we have an area that is available to hold your reading group meeting in Southend library, subject to the area being free. We will supply your book requirements, just let us know the titles you would like to read, the number of books required and the dates of the meetings and we will arrange for the books to be available. Membership is free and you do not have to be a library member to take advantage of this service.
If you are interested in starting your own reading group, or would like more information about how to set one up please contact The Audience Development Team at Southend library on 01702 215011 or email council@southend.gov.uk.
