What is needed?
The guidance is specifically aimed at the creation of a new second floor where there are no more than two habitable rooms and the total increase in floor area is less than 50m2. If the work does not meet all of these criteria separate guidance must be sought.
A Building Regulation Submission must be made for a loft conversion.
Planning Permission may also be required for the conversion of a loft space and separate confirmation must be sought from the Development Control Group.
