Southend-on-Sea Borough Council aims to provide safe, high quality family-based care for children and young people through our growing team of over one hundred foster carers.
Children in care come from all sections of the local community and, to better meet their needs, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Fostering Service need to recruit foster carers from all sections of the community too. We would love to hear from you regardless of your age, sexuality, marital status, social, economic or ethnic background. Please use the Online Potential Fostering form to contact us. Once we receive the form we will contact you to discuss your interest further.
All Carers receive a generous allowance to cover the expenses for each child placed with them; they also have the support of their own Supervising Social Worker, their fostered child's social worker, as well as 24 hour support out of office hours.
