About Dial-a-Ride

Access AnyoneDial a ride provides transport for people who have difficulty using public transport. This service is offered for transport anywhere within the Southend Borough.

Who can use Dial a Ride?

To use Dial a ride you must:

  • Live within the Southend Borough
  • Have difficulty using public transport because of disability, age or infirmity
  • Be a member of Dial a Ride
  • If aged under 16, you must be accompanied by an adult

You may also be able to bring a friend, relative or carer at an additional reduced cost.

When can I use Dial a Ride?

Times
Days Times
 Monday to Friday  08:00 to 17:30 
 Saturday  08:00 to 13:00

 

Times for people needing transport for work
Days Times
 Monday to Friday

 07:00 to 09:00

16:00 to 18:00

If you also require transport to and/or from work at weekends please ask as we may be able to provide this too.

Where can I use Dial a Ride?

You can use Dial a Ride to go anywhere in the Southend Borough, such as visiting:

  • Day Centres
  • Hairdressers
  • Shopping
  • Doctors
  • Friends or Relatives
  • Work
