Safety Matters

Information regarding Safety Issues

There are approximately 300 fatalities, over 27,000 major injuries and in excess of 120,000 injuries involving workers being off work for more than three days, reported each year.

In addition , injuries to the public involving them being taken to hospital range from between 15,000 to 35,000 persons each year and over 100 fatalities (not including deaths on the railways)

These are incredible statistics when you think of the pain, misery and cost that underlie them.

The document links to the right hand column give general guidance on a number of the key areas that can lead to injury and explain how these risks can be minimised.
