Parks, Gardens and Nature Reserves
Southend-on-Sea is home to a number of Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces making it the perfect place to discover wildlife and get back to nature.
You will find colourful floral displays at Southchurch Park and Priory Park and a beautiful rose garden in Chalkwell Park which has been recognised by the national rose society. The Cliff Gardens have fantastic views across the Thames Estuary, whilst the 7 miles of foreshore is an area of considerable environmental significance. You can also discover ancient woodland at Belfairs Park on foot or on horseback, or make this the backdrop for a round of golf.
