Expression of Interest for Cliff Stabilisation Works to the Cliff Gardens
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is inviting expressions of interest from contractors wishing to tender for stabilisation works to the unstable section of the Cliff Gardens area in Southend on Sea. The slope stability remedial works are to be undertaken prior to the intended construction of a museum which will provide a permanent stabilisation solution to the site. The aim of the project is to provide an economic cliff stabilisation solution that is of benefit to and coordinated with the museum structure, but with the main focus of the work to make the area safe.
The works will be tendered as part of a two stage Design and Build contract and will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 50% price, 40% quality and 10% interview.
It is intended to restrict the tender list to 8 contractors.
If you wish to be considered for the works please contact the Corporate Policy and Improvement team at procurement@southend.gov.uk to request a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will need to be completed and returned with any supporting information by 12 noon on Monday 19th March 2012.
