Southend on Sea Borough Council is inviting expressions of interest from established, suitably experienced organisations, to provide Extra Care Support for Adults in Supported Living Accommodation.

The successful Care provider(s) will;

1. Ensure qualified staff are on site 365 days a year
2. Provide 24 hour care & support
3. Provide all core care packages to tenants (additional care maybe provided by alternative care providers, due to direct payments and service user choice.)
4. Some elements of Housing Management, in conjunction with South Essex Homes

There are two Extra care facilities, Longmans and Westwood, currently requiring this service, however, it is envisaged that this contract will be utilised for additional sites, as and when required.

The estimated total value of this contract, is in excess of £1million and the contract will be for an initial period of 5 years, with a proposed start date of 1st July 2012.

Successful organisations must have a comprehensive understanding of Extra care provision and a proven track record of liaising and supporting vulnerable adults.

Southend Borough Council welcomes submissions from all organisational types, including the Third Sector.
