There is an extensive range of resources available online. The Recycle Zone is a site for schools, children and teachers, covering what happens in the world of waste and the Three R's.
Recycle More provides a range of resources for schools as well as an activities section for 5-11 and 11-16 year olds.
Yell's Yellow Woods website has a range of 'teaching tools' for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, including a mix of teacher-led activities and worksheets.
Eco-Schools aims to raise students' awareness of sustainable development via a mix of classroom based learning and community action. Schools follow an Eco-Schools programme, working towards a Green Flag status - an internationally recognised symbol for environmental excellence. Other websites with educational materials include the Steel Can Recycling Information Bureau or SCRIB which has an Education Zone containing GCSE resources and activity sheets.
The Dig In campaign, which aims to encourage first time growers, providing them with help and advice for growing their own fruit and vegetables, has a range of Key Stage 2 lesson plans online for Teachers who would like to encourage students to think about growing their own produce.
