Secondary school admissions 2012/13
The online admissions forms for the year 7 intake for September 2012 are now closed. If you still wish to apply for a year 7 place for September 2012 please contact the Pupil Access Team using the contact details on the right hand side of this page.
Secondary school admissions 2013/14
The online admissions forms for the year 7 intake for September 2013 will open on 3rd September 2012. The closing date for applications will be 31st October 2012 and parents will be advised of the outcome of their applications on 1st March 2013.
There are a number of changes being made to the arrangements for pupils to take the selection test (11+) to gain entry to grammar schools in Southend and to the other schools in the Borough who offer selective school places. All of the schools that admit pupils as a result of the 11+ testing arrangements are holding open evenings during the summer term 2012 for year 5 pupils and their parents at which the new arrangements will be further explained. In-year secondary school admissions
If you would like to apply for an in-year secondary school admission please complete the downloadable form here. Please note that Part 2 of this form must be completed by your child's current school. If your child is currently on the waiting list for a secondary school and you wish to apply for a place for him/her for the academic year starting in September 2012 you will need to complete a new in-year secondary school application form. Forms for September 2012 will be available for completion from 11th June 2012 onwards.
