Southend Pier Museum pictureSouthend Pier Museum brings to life the fascinating past of the longest pleasure pier in the world.

Exhibits include many items of memorabilia such as an original restored working Pier signal box, a restored ex-Pier Toastrack tram c.1890 and train carriages c.1949 together with extensive informative pictorial displays featuring the Pier from 1830 and period costumes. The museum also has a small collection of working old penny slot machines and much more.

Opening Times

The Pier Museum is open April to the end of September: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Bank Holidays 11:00 - 17:00 (closes 17:30 school holidays). However, times may vary so please contact the Visitor Information Centre using the details on the right prior to your visit.

Prices

£1 admission and children under the age of 12 years are admitted free if accompanied by an adult as a family group. Additional donations are always welcome. (Please note prices are subject to change).
