Registering to vote

In order to register to vote, please go to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Alternatively, you can telephone your application through to Southend-on-Sea Electoral Services on 01702 215010, or request that an application form is sent out to you.

The deadline for registering to vote for the forthcoming election was Tuesday 17th April 2018.

Voting by Post or Proxy

If you do not wish to attend a polling station on polling day in order to cast your vote, you can apply to vote by post or proxy.

The deadline for a new postal vote or to amend or cancel an existing postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 18th April. This is also the deadline for making changes to or cancelling an existing proxy vote.
