Fishing from Southend Pier

On Southend Pier you can fish either on the Pier Stem or Pier Head and possibly catch mackerel, plaice or flounder.

To fish during the day you must get a day fishing pass. These are available to anyone.

You can only get a night or combined day and night pass if you are a current member of a recognised fishing club (having been a member for at least 6 months).

Please Note: From the 2nd March to 1st April 2015 there will be no night fishing available on Southend Pier. This is due to maintenance on the Pier, and for health and safety reasons. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Children (ages 3 to 16) must be accompanied by an adult when fishing on Southend Pier.
