Opening Times

Spring Season (21st March to 22nd May)

08:15 to 18:00 Monday to Friday 
08:15 to 20:00 Saturday and Sunday

Summer Season (23rd May to 4th September)

08:15 to 20:00 Daily

Autumn Season (5th September to 30th October) 

08:15 to 18:00 Monday to Friday 
08:15 to 20:00 Saturday and Sunday

Winter Season (31st October to March 2017)

09:15 to 17:00 Wednesday to Sunday

Regardless of the season the Pier will be open on all school and public holidays. With the exception of Christmas Day, when the Pier is closed.

The Pier is suitable for all ages and both the walkway and Pier trains have disabled access.

If you need a wheelchair, you can hire one from the Visitor Information Centre by calling them in advance on 01702 618747.

The Pier toilets are inside the Royal Pavilion.

Please note: The last entry onto the Pier is one hour before closing. Opening times are seasonal and may change annually.

From 31st October to March 2017 The Salt Café will be open 10:00 - 16:00 Wednesday to Sunday. Catering is currently available from the Salt Café. To see what is served please take a look at their menu.

Pier Train Information

Due to the recent engineering works the pier trains are currently running on an hourly service, trains depart from the shore end on the hour and depart from the pier head on the half past.

Please note: No dogs or pets are allowed on Southend Pier except for assistance dogs.
