Commercial Waste

Reuse - Donate it!

Following the waste hierarchy (please see The Waste Hierarchy in ‘Further pages’ below) it is preferable to reuse before you recycle, so please consider whether any of the waste you produce can be reused – either within your business or perhaps by a charity or other organisation.

Furniture and electrical items may be suitable for reuse, so why not offer them to a local charity? Please call the charity first to confirm that they can take the items.

Oxfam – For details of the ‘Oxfam collects at Work’ scheme please see their website. As part of this scheme, employees are told how much money their donations have raised and you are provided with a corporate report with the total raised by your company.
