Household Waste Recycling Centres in Southend-on-Sea

Stock Road Recycling Centre

There are two Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) in the borough of Southend-on-Sea:

To view the location of the two Household Waste Recycling Centres please see our Map of the Borough.

The term 'Household Waste Recycling Centre' refers to the sites maintained by us which provide recycling facilities for our residents. Such sites used to be referred to as the local 'tip' - but as recycling becomes ever more important these facilities have been renamed to reflect this key priority.

Sites are also intended for the deposit of large bulky items. Don't forget that a lot of items can be recycled - from your old wooden headboard to your fridge freezer. For further information please see the 'What can be taken to the Recycling Centre' page below.

Don't forget that a lot of materials can now be recycled using the kerbside recycling schemes (pink sack, clear sack and blue food waste collection bin). For further information please see the 'What can go in my sacks and bins' page.
