Council Land and Property
Council Land and Property: Overview
If you need to know who owns a piece of land or property in Southend, our Property Services Department is a good place to start.
We maintain a record of property, owned or leased by the Council; this includes a collection of maps and legal records of properties that the Council has an interest in.
We can check to see whether a property is owned by the Council. If it is, then we can put you in touch with the department responsible for the property.
If the property is not owned by the Council, then the next place to try is the Land Registry who hold national records of land ownership.
