Prince's Time Trail of Prittlewell
Swan Hall
It was a high status building facing onto Prittlewell's medieval market place where North Street widened out at the junction with East Street and West Street. Its first floor may have been the market hall. The ground floor was a shop and residential accommodation.
Much later it was converted to a bakery. Originally it had a wing at the rear. An orchard was on the north side. 16th century cottages on the other side, at the corner with West Street, were demolished when the road was widened.
