Development Plan Documents (DPD's)
Development Plan Documents (DPD's): Overview
There are four main stages in preparing Development Plan Documents:
- The pre-production and survey stage including 'pre-submission consultation stage' with specific consultation bodies on an Options Report;
- The production stage including 'pre-submission participation stage' with the wider community on the Preferred Options Report. The 'submission of a Development Plan Document to the Secretary of State' will be at the end of this stage and there will be a 'public participation period on the submitted document';
- 'Examination period' where an independent inspector will assess the 'soundness' of the DPD;
- Following the 'receipt of the Inspector's report', 'adoption' of the DPD and entry into the LDF.
