- Rowdy and nuisance behaviour
- Yobbish behaviour and intimidating groups taking over public spaces
- Vandalism, graffiti and fly-posting
- People dealing and buying drugs on the street
- People dumping rubbish and abandoning cars
- Begging and anti-social behaviour
- The misuse of fireworks
Anti-social behaviour can impact upon an individual, a family, the community and the town as a whole. It can make life unpleasant and create an environment where serious crime can take hold.
Southend Crime Disorder Reduction Partnership is committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and have a dedicated response team called SMAART (Southend Multi Agency Anti Social Behaviour Response Team).
The team comprises of officers from Southend Police, Southend-on-Sea Council and South Essex Homes.
