- Team Manager
Our Children with Disability Team is based in a purpose built Children’s
Centre, sharing resources and services with a range of statutory and
voluntary services.
You will be supervising the core services of the team and continue
to develop a multi-agency approach to the needs of children. The model
of ‘Team around the Child’ is being used to great effect and there is
much potential to develop new ideas and approaches. You will be
joining a small authority with a commitment to improving quality and
effectiveness of services, providing support and development to
its managers.

- Aiming High / LDD Project Worker

- First Contact Team Manager x 2
This is an exciting time for Southend Borough Council we are doing excellent work for the children and families of Southend.
Due to promotion and restructuring we now have vacancies for two new Team Managers for the First Contact Team which is our frontline services which deals with all the referrals regarding children and their families in the Southend area. The team is now split into two teams one team will be undertaking all the work with regards to the Public Law Outline, and working with child in need cases. The other team will be working the front line duty and assessment service. Therefore we need two flexible Team Managers. You will ensure eligibility criteria and risk thresholds are interpreted consistently, implement service strategy and performance management processes and generally promote a culture of continuous improvement. Key tasks will include managing a budget, providing formal supervision to staff and developing partnership working
