The BBC’s Bang Goes the Theory Roadshow proved a rip-roaring success with visitors to the Southend Air Festival 2010.
Almost 15,000 people dropped in on the presenters of the popular BBC1 programme, who staged 10 separate shows over the two-day festival.
Visitors to the roadshow at the Fairheads Green car park were blown away by the BGTT team's fully interactive show-stopping science demonstrations.
Presenters Jem Stansfield, Dallas Campbell, Dr Yan Wong and Liz Bonnin proved a real hit with Air Festival goers of all ages.
Andrew Lewis, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Corporate Director for Enterprise , Tourism and Regeneration, said he was "delighted" the BGTT Roadshow had proved such a hit.
He said: "It was a real privilege to have the Bang Goes the Theory team in Southend for the Air Festival weekend.
"It's fantastic that so many people visited the roadshow, which added an extra dimension to what was already a superb Air Festival programme."
David Sasse, Project Manager for Bang Goes The Theory, said: "The Bang Goes the Theory roadshow in Southend was a huge success.
"Almost 15,000 people came along to see our live shows, meet the presenters and get hands-on with science over the bank holiday weekend.
"It was fantastic to have the opportunity to be part of the Southend Air Festival."
