The Chinese Contemporary Intangible Culture Heritage Exhibition will be on display from 1 August until 13 August. These exhibitions are in association with the Jiangsu Art Foundation 2016 Funding Project.
Both of these exhibitions provide an unprecedented insight in to Chinese culture and the connection between the arts in China and here in Southend-on-Sea.
Cllr Ann Holland, Executive Councillor for Culture, Tourism and the Economy, said: “It is with great pleasure that we get to welcome these unique and innovative exhibitions to Southend-on-Sea.
“This proves yet again the growth of our town’s cultural scene in attracting world-class exhibits and gives local residents and visitors an opportunity to gain a unique insight into contemporary Chinese culture.
“The Beecroft Art Gallery is the ideal location for these exhibitions, and local people to come down to see this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition.”
