‘Musical Monday’, an event that enables young people to make music together, returns later this month.

Children aged seven onwards, with varying musical talents are welcome to participate in the council organised event taking place at St Mary’s Church of England primary school on Monday 23 October.

The young musicians will work in groups with experienced tutors, and will spend their day creating music, enjoying some group percussion work, and learning new music whilst making new friends.  The day ends with an informal “performance” for family and friends to attend and hear what has been learnt during the day.

Cllr Ann Holland, Executive Councillor for Culture, Tourism and the Economy, said: “Musical Monday brings together young children from across the Borough who would like to either begin or further their musical talents.

It is a fantastic way to keep busy during the half term break, and I urge all parents to bring their children along, and they will have a day full of music, fun and learning.”

It costs just £9 for the day (£8 for advantage card holders). Book your place online via the Eventbrite website.
