Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is delighted to announce that, the Big Screen at The Forum will be showing Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’ live from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden on Thursday 12 July.

The performance is part of the BP Big Screens programme of live outdoor opera and ballet screenings taking place across the UK. The screening starts at 7pm with pre-screening activity at 6.30pm, which includes back-stage footage and live coverage from other Big Screen sites, such as Trafalgar Square.

Cllr Lesley Salter, Cabinet Member for Healthy Communities and Wellbeing, said: “This free screening, which includes some of Mozart’s most memorable music, is a fantastic opportunity for opera lovers, and those who may not have experienced a performance quite like this, to come together and celebrate one of the world’s most famous composers.

“Those who plan on attending the event should bring chairs or blankets with a picnic to enjoy this masterpiece live in concert from Covent Garden.”
